Design Spotlight: The Perry Project

Back

Sometimes when you hear the term “modern style kitchen” your mind conjures images of shiny white cabinetry and gleaming stainless steel—something more like a sterile science laboratory than an inviting home hub.

The Perry Project

At Caruso Kitchens we believe that modern style can be synonymous with warm and inviting, as is the case with the Perry Kitchen designed by Jerry Caruso.

The Perry Project

Sleek, uncluttered lines of the Harmoni Rift White Oak Slab cabinets establish a bold yet understated look for the room, with ceiling-height uppers and flat-panel doors.

The Perry Project

A simple, flat-style crown finishes the top of the cabinets, adding a sophisticated tailored touch.

The Perry Project

A beautiful stainless Wolf six-burner gas range anchors the work space, but the wood-trimmed vent hood matching the cabinets keeps the industrial look of stainless in check, as do large custom refrigerator panels.

The Perry Project

The only other stainless seen in the kitchen are the sleek, stacked microwave and wall ovens.

Both beverage chiller and dishwasher blend seamlessly into surrounding cabinetry with custom panel overlays.

Storage abounds in this kitchen, with a multitude of cupboards and drawers in assorted sizes to accommodate an array of kitchen equipment.

Upper cabinet doors that lift up rather than open to the side provide easy access to higher storage items.

Forming a focal point in the room, the large island with its richly dimensional veined quartz top cascading in a waterfall installation on one side brings warmth and depth to the space.

Gradient veins in golden hues in the quartz play well with the oak tones of the cabinetry.

The slab of matching chocolate quartz forming the back-splash at the stove provides balance and harmony.

To keep an airy feel in the kitchen, White quartz counter top is installed around the perimeter, ending in a waterfall on both exposed sides, for an added bit of panache.

And don’t overlook the details that take this kitchen to the next level, such as the pop-up outlet in the island—so useful for appliances when you need it, but quick to disappear when you don’t.

Matte black iron cabinet hardware from Top Knobs solidifies the streamlined look,

while custom plumbing fixtures in matte black with champagne bronze accents give the chef’s kiss to this kitchen remodel.
